Millennials are the “ME ME ME GENERATION,” writes Joel Stein for Time magazine’s new cover story out today — which makes him only the latest culture writer in the last century or so to declare the youth self-obsessed little monsters.

Elspeth Reeve’s argues that every generation has been the ‘me generation’. Baby Boomers were the ‘Me Generation’ who also created the ‘Me Decade’in the 1970s. And in the 1980s Generation X were deemed the next narcissists. Now we’ve got the ‘Me Me Me Generation’, Elspeth Reeve’s examines what’s changed – if anything – other than the name.
